DIN SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
DIN SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
DIN accepts submissions from February 5, 2015 to April 1, 2015.
Please submit only one story or essay (3,500 word limit, flash fiction: 500-1,000), or 3-5 poems at a time. Send your work to [email protected].
Response time for submissions is 1-2 months. DIN does accept simultaneous submissions. In the event your work is accepted for publication elsewhere, please inform us promptly. Only previously unpublished works will be considered for publication (personal blogs do not count as previous publication). Cover letters should include a word count, title, and name. No monetary compensation offered, but it's a great opportunity to expose your work. DIN is produced by NMSU faculty, graduate and undergraduate students.
In the subject line, identify the genre of your piece followed by your name.
For example: POETRY- Last Name, First Name
Give us your name and the titles of your pieces in your email.
Attach your pieces as a .docx or .pdf document (all poems may be contained in the same document) or according to the multimedia specifications below:
Multimedia
Submissions should include name, title, size, medium, and year created. A 1-3 sentence statement may be provided if conceptual clarity is necessary.
Image: JPEG up to 2MB, should not exceed 1280 pixels on the longest side @72dpi
Audio: AIFF, WAV, XMF, or MP3 and under 10MB
Video: MPEG-4 up to 30FPS, 640x480 or WMV up to 30fps, 320x240.
Visual Art: Image: JPEG up to 2MB, should not exceed 1280 pixels on the longest side @72dpi
